Sportsnet's partners swept the competition at the 2017 MIA awards!

The 2017 Media Innovation Awards commenced on December 8th, and Sportsnet had a victorious night at the show! Two of Sportsnet’s partnerships, Budweiser & Molson Canadian, won awards at the show.

Budweiser’s “Red Light Glass” campaign won Best of Show and was awarded with the following:

Gold:
1) OOH/Ambient/Place-Based Media – Budget over $100K
2) Experiential/Special Events/Stunts – Budget over $100K
3) Best Integrated campaign – Budget over $250K

Silver:
1) Best Use of Technology
2) Experiential/Special Events/Stunts - Budget Over $100K
3) Best in Mobile

Bronze:
1) Best in Alcoholic Beverages
2) Best Use of Technology

Molson Canadian’s “Virtual Front Row” was an innovative first, bringing real-time virtual reality NHL games to Canadians via the Sportsnet app. The campaign had a successful night, as they were categorized in Best Use of Digital and went home with the following awards:

1) Best in AR/VR

Bronze:
1) Best in Alcoholic Beverages
